Session Summary, June 2025

AI in Content Creation - How Leading Brands Are Doing It Right

The session focused on the application of generative AI in content creation, highlighting how a global studio utilises AI to streamline and enhance creative processes.

Key panellists include:

  • Nick Almond, COO, CreatorUp

The studio employs over 70 large language models (LLMs) and some large comprehension models (LCMs) to perform tasks that would typically require multiple engines working independently. This integration allows for the rapid creation of multi-scene videos complete with audio, sound effects, and voiceover, significantly reducing the time and cost involved in traditional video production.

The process begins with planning and ideation, where AI tools are used to generate mood boards and storyboards within minutes. These materials are then refined through client feedback and further AI prompting, leveraging brand style guidelines and various reference materials. The AI-driven approach extends to scriptwriting, lesson planning, and the creation of visual assets, using a multi-engine model to challenge and improve outcomes. This method has been shown to produce 30-40% better results than using a single engine, enabling the creation of high-quality images, videos, and avatars.

Examples showcased during the session illustrated the capabilities of generative AI in producing professional-grade content quickly and cost-effectively. A startup called LawyerDup benefitted from AI-driven video and avatar creation, demonstrating significant time and cost savings. The studio also presented a spec ad for Volkswagen and a quirky campaign for Liquid Death, underscoring the consistency and quality achievable through AI. The session concluded with a call to recognise the transformative potential of AI in content creation, emphasising a 10x improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness compared to traditional methods.

Takeaways

Generative AI significantly enhances creative efficiency

By leveraging multiple AI engines, content creation processes can be streamlined, reducing the time from ideation to final product from days to hours. This efficiency allows for rapid iteration and refinement, enabling creatives to produce high-quality content more quickly than traditional methods.

AI-driven content creation is cost-effective

Using generative AI reduces the costs associated with video production and other creative tasks. The ability to integrate multiple models and engines allows for the automation of complex processes, resulting in significant cost savings and making high-quality content accessible to smaller organisations and startups.

AI enables consistent and high-quality output

The integration of various AI models ensures that content produced is consistent in quality and adheres to brand guidelines. This approach overcomes common challenges in generative AI, such as maintaining character consistency and accurate text rendering, providing a reliable solution for professional-grade content creation.
