Suzy Madigan brings a unique perspective to responsible AI developed through her diverse experience as a geopolitical policy analyst, humanitarian responder in conflicts, and former Saatchi advertising executive. In 2025, she was included in the global 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics™ List.   She helps organisations navigate AI’s complex human challenges and develop safe and inclusive AI strategies by drawing on her experience engaging communities, mitigating situational risks, and creating strategic communications.   With over 15 years’ experience in programming and policy for the United Nations, governments and NGOs, Suzy has worked in contexts including Iraq, Haiti, Ukraine, Niger, Colombia and Lebanon. She is a regular on podcasts and broadcast media and has written for leading newspapers. She explores AI and its implications for our diverse and rapidly evolving world in her blog series, The Machine Race.  As Responsible AI Lead at disaster-relief agency, CARE International, Suzy spearheaded a collaboration with Accenture to co-author, AI and the Global South: Exploring the Role of Civil Society in AI Decision-Making. Featuring voices from civil society, multinational technology companies and government, the findings provide a blueprint for tailored and effective AI, including equitable partnerships between businesses and communities.
