Susan Furnell
Susan has spend several decades creating opportunities for companies facing disruptive technologies including connected home, the internet, blockchain, data analytics and now AI. She has worked in-house for several leading Telcos in a range of product development and Group strategy roles and led connected home and smart metering strategy for a major utility company. She set up the Telecoms practice of Roland Berger Strategy Consulting before moving to their New York Office. Since setting up her own consultancy, Susan has advised a number of start-ups, as well as major Telcos, insurance companies, energy companies and AI companies. Recent AI projects include automation of back office data handling for a finance company and advising on how to minimise and mitigate the regulatory and legal risks of adding generative AI to a rules based chatbot in a health and well being mobile app. Susan has also been recently training potential Board members on what they need to know for good governance of AI.
