Rodrigo Marcos Carvajal
Rodrigo works as Head of Data & AI (Commercial and Holidays) for EasyJet. He studied Industrial Engineering, and he also did a master's degree in Data Science. He started his career working in Data Science in several companies in Spain. He has many years of experience developing data science and AI solutions, implementing them into the business and maintaining them.
In these last years working at EasyJet, he has been leading the data science and analytics teams that develop solutions for the Commercial department at easyJet. These solutions are mainly focused on Pricing, Scheduling and Network. Apart from the responsibility of the delivery of all these solutions, he has been contributing to make EasyJet a data driven airline. This includes setting up the right ways of working and processes inside the Data Science team, and between other teams whose main core is data (data engineering, testers…). Rodrigo has been focused on making easyJet an airline where the projects are not just considered as Data Science projects, they can be considered as Data projects. He recently started supporting the data journey of another part of the business, EasyJet Holidays, focused on Holidays packages. He will be helping them in their first steps in data science and advising them to make sure that they achieve their goals.
