Phalgun Lolur
Dr Phalgun Lolur is a Senior Quantum Applications Engineer at the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC), which is a national lab located at the Harwell campus, Oxfordshire. Prior to joining NQCC, he has several years of postdoctoral experience working at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. He has a doctorate in theoretical chemistry and a masters in chemical engineering from Missouri S&T, USA.
Phalgun currently works on application development, developing and benchmarking algorithms for use-cases with government, academic, and industrial end-users. With over 15 years’ experience of working on both classical and quantum simulations, optimisation, and machine learning problems, he seeks to provide cross-sector solutions for today’s problems spread across healthcare, pharmaceutical chemistry, materials science industries.
