Matthew Fraser
New York City Chief Technology Officer Matthew C. Fraser is responsible for coordinating technology-related projects and policy across the city.
Under Mayor Eric Adams’ leadership, CTO Fraser manages the city’s consolidated technology agencies, the New York City Office of Technology & Innovation (OTI), to improve service delivery, democratize technology access, and keep New Yorkers and their data safe.
Prior to his current role, CTO Fraser served as Deputy Commissioner for Information Technology at the New York Police Department, where he oversaw the successful launch of several community-based, crime reduction, and precision policing initiatives. In addition to NYPD, he has worked with the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, NYC Department of Buildings, and the Mayor’s Office.
CTO Fraser is a native of Brooklyn, New York.
