Natasha Oughton joined the National Quantum Computing Centre to use her PhD in foundations of physics and the philosophy of quantum information (University of Oxford) to focus on how quantum computing might impact society. She leads workstreams investigating near and long-term potential benefits, harms, and ethical implications across sectors, and is a strong advocate for Responsible Innovation and the need for anticipatory governance.
