Mira Pijselman
Mira is the UK and Ireland Digital Ethics Lead, where she focuses on the responsible governance of key emerging technologies, including AI, generative AI, quantum computing, and the metaverse. A social scientist and philosopher by training, she helps organisations to map, understand, govern, and capitalise on their data and technology potential safely.
Mira also holds a global role developing and implementing responsible AI governance for EY. She has been fundamental in crafting EY’s Responsible AI Framework.
Mira is an industry-recognised thought leader in responsible innovation. Her work has been published by Springer, the OECD and the Royal Statistical Society. She has spoken at numerous talks and events, including for the London Business School, the University of Bristol, techUK, the National Quantum Computing Centre and Economist Impact events. She recently co-authored a white paper with the University of Oxford on responsible quantum computing.
Mira holds an MSc in the Social Science of the Internet from the University of Oxford, where she specialised in the ethics of AI, and BA (Hones) from the University of Toronto in Canada, where she is originally from.
