Mark is Senior Researcher in LSEG’s Applied Natural Language Processing group and has over 15 years' experience working with Speech and Language Technology across both academia and industry. He joined LSEG in 2021 following the acquisition of Quorate Technology Ltd, a speech technology spin-out from the University of Edinburgh where he was a senior research scientist. Mark is keen to bridge the gap between state-of-the-art academic research and its practical application within industry.

Mark holds a PhD in Informatics from the University of Edinburgh and a MEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Glasgow. He has held Teaching Fellow, Research Fellow and consultancy positions for various academic research projects.
