Margi is Senior Director of Data & AI Policy at AstraZeneca. She has led efforts to empower the company to embrace AI in their work while driving ethical and responsible use. She enables the responsible use and re-use of data & AI inside AZ and with our scientific partners, toward improving drug development efforts and unlocking the value of data. Margi is actively involved in industry-wide partnerships in the field and regularly contributes to the development of legislation around Data and AI on behalf of the pharmaceutical industry. Margi spent several years prior in academia and the US National Institutes of health, working in biomedical research programmes. After successfully managing genomic research and clinical trials, Margi now enables researchers to maximise the value of data & AI in a sustainable way.
