Lord Sarfraz is a Member of the House of Lords. He is a Member of the Joint Committee on National Security Strategy (JCNSS) and the AI in Weapon Systems Committee. Lord Sarfraz serves as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Singapore and co-chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sovereign Wealth Funds.
Outside of Parliament, he sits on the advisory boards of several listed technology businesses including C3 AI (NYSE:AI), Digital Ocean (NYSE: DOCN) and VKTR (IDX: VKTR). He is a Venture Partner at an early-stage venture capital fund, Draper Associates, and is the founder of a sustainable agriculture business. His earlier career was in natural resources private equity.
He is Patron of The Lord Sarfraz Foundation and sits on several voluntary boards including at Texas A&M, Boston University and Panthera. He is a graduate of Boston University, London School of Economics and the Royal College of Defence Studies. On appointment to the Lords in 2020, he became its third youngest member.
