Karen McLuskie is a senior civil servant who has been at the frontier of tech policy throughout her career. She blazed a trail with 'digital diplomacy' in the early part of her career before becoming the first British diplomat with a tech portfolio. After leading tech policy in the Department of Business and Trade, she took on the Government's tech adoption review, developing anew raft of policies with industry to enable and encourage firms to adopt cutting edge tech faster and more strategically.
