Jon Ellis brings more than 30 years of experience in semiconductors with an extensive background in market research, component distribution and product design companies.  Jon has worked in roles including Product Management, Consulting, Sales, Analysis and Marketing.  In his current VP Market Lead role, he is responsible for the teams setting the technical and commercial strategies for Semiconductor, Displays and Consumer Devices portfolios.  Before the current Informa Tech role, he held VP Product Management and Commercial Director roles in the same team.

Before joining the Informa group, he held a Consulting role at IHS Markit Technology where he was responsible for business development in Asia. Prior to the Consulting role, he was responsible for an EMEA sales team driving new business into key accounts. He started his time at IHS Markit as a Principal Analyst and Subject Matter Expert in the semiconductor sector.  He worked at IHS Markit for 7 years.

Prior to joining IHS Markit, Jon was VP Technical Marketing at Avnet Memec (a global Component Distribution company) and was responsible for setting the strategy and Technology direction for the company.  He held a variety of roles while working at Avnet Memec for 16 years.
