Georgios Korpas, research scientist at HSBC, has a slightly different background than most people involved in quantum computing - coming from the very theoretical aspects of physics.

Korpas has a background in string theory, topological Quantum Field Theories, and within HSBC ye co-lead the programs in quantum optimization, quantum replacements for Monte Carlo, and aspects of classical machine learning as well. 

And just like most of our community, he's extremely passionate about the topic!
