Francesco Federico
Francesco Federico is the Chief Marketing Officer of S&P Global, where he leads the company’s global marketing strategy, driving brand value and business growth across dynamic markets. Previously, he served as Managing Director and Global Head of Marketing at S&P Global Ratings, playing a key role on the Ratings Senior Leadership Team.
With a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and corporate expertise, Francesco began his career by founding a digital marketing agency in Milan. He later held senior roles at leading global companies including Vodafone, Acer, and JLL, where he spearheaded initiatives at the intersection of marketing, technology, and innovation.
A recognized thought leader in Artificial Intelligence, Francesco’s interest in AI dates back to his academic work, where he authored a thesis on the use of AI in legal practice. Today, he continues to explore how generative AI is reshaping marketing and business transformation, sharing his insights through a widely read newsletter and speaking engagements.
He has also contributed to public service as a Non-Executive Board Member for a UK Multi-Academy Trust and an NHS Housing Association, advising on governance and strategic development.
Francesco holds a Juris Doctor degree from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM).
