Flavilla Fongang is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, international keynote speaker (English and French), and visionary leader committed to unlocking economic opportunities for Black talent globally. Named Computer Weekly’s number 1 most influential woman in tech in the UK in 2022, Flavilla has built a legacy of breaking barriers, driving innovation, and inspiring change. In 2024, she was recognised on the Global Top 100 Most Influential People of African Descent – Futurists and Innovators list alongside Will.i.am and named on the Black Powerlist backed by JP Morgan. She also won the AdWeek The Future is Female Award and the Underone DEI Thought-Leader and Influencer Award, cementing her position as a leading figure in business and innovation.
She founded 3 Colours Rule, an award-winning branding and marketing agency where she created the D.A.C. system and The Beyond Marketing Approach, helping global brands build customer loyalty and sustainable growth. As BBC’s chosen brand advisor and an Entrepreneurship Expert at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, Flavilla continues to shape the next generation of business leaders. She has lectured at Oxford, UCL School of Management, SOAS, and Brunel University, and created marketing and branding courses for LinkedIn and the CXL Institute.
In 2019, she founded GTA Black Women in Tech, the largest organisation of Black professional women in tech across Europe, with chapters in the UK, Ireland, and France and a reach of more than 22,000 members. She launched the annual book series “The Voices In The Shadow,” distributing more than 2,200 free copies to schools and libraries in the UK and Ireland to inspire young people. The books are archived at the British Library. She also created an art collection addressing colourism and dark skin discrimination, and developed the first interactive history map of remarkable Black women in partnership with UN Women.
Her latest venture, Black Rise, is transforming how the global business market connect with Black talent and Black consumers. Under her leadership, Black Rise has grown into a dynamic ecosystem supporting professionals, founders, and companies. The platform offers scalable solutions for talent and customer acquisition, branded campaigns, advertising, and data-driven insights. In 2025, Black Rise launched its Enterprise Membership, giving companies self-managed tools for recruitment, customer acquisition, analytics, boosting, and sponsorship.
Flavilla serves on the Strategy Steering Board for the City of London and the Advisory Board for Tech London Advocates and Global Tech Advocates to reduce the digital skill gap. She has been invited by President Emmanuel Macron and President Nana Akufo-Addo to discuss business opportunities in Africa and has been featured in Brummel Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, The Economist, The Guardian, and The Entrepreneur. From arriving in London in 2002 without speaking English to earning three degrees in her first year, Flavilla’s journey is a testament to resilience, vision, and limitless possibility.
