Fabian Furrer
Fabian Furrer is a Senior Consultant in Quantum Computation and Optimization at AWS Professional Services. Fabian is passionate in supporting customers to optimize their business using prescriptive analysis and optimization techniques. He received his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the Leibniz University Hannover with a thesis on the security of continuous variable quantum key distribution. As a Postdoc at the University of Tokyo and the NTT Basic Research Laboratories he contributed to the field of quantum communication and computation with several publications. He worked several years in the energy field as a quantitative risk manager on several topics like energy pricing, trading simulations and portfolio optimization. At AWS, Fabian supports customers in their journey of using emerging technologies such as Quantum Computation to solver their business challenges.
