Vanessa is a Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist at the European Central Bank. She is currently working on the forefront of integrating Generative AI technologies, building foundation models for supervision and banking risk as well as bringing safe and trustworthy solutions at scale in production setups.

Prior to the ECB, Vanessa worked in IBM delivering cutting-edge AI solutions tailored for the banking industry.

Vanessa’s undergraduate research in the field of speech processing includes a published paper in InterSpeech 2019 conference concerning a gamified speech therapy tool to assist children with dysphonia.

She has a MSc and BSc in Computer Science Engineering, with a focus on Cloud technologies and Machine learning.
