I am focused on how to make data ethics practical and widespread – specifically, designing processes and reusable tooling to support use case teams. This covers fairness, explainability, ethical purpose and ethical data use. Prior to this I built data science development methodologies to support the scaling of data product creation. My background isn't data science – I spent 7 years in sales and 12 in Accenture as a governance and methodology specialist, working with large programmes to design how they mobilise and scale to deliver across several dozens or hundreds of projects. I'm very lucky to have built what I know of machine learning from those I've worked with over the last 6 years – I like to think I can translate data science and data ethics to many audiences.
