He has given expert advice in international forums on the development of data science products for businesses and establishing analytics and data science functions in large multinational companies.

John has been instrumental in advancing the role of data science and machine learning within PokerStars. He has led the development of a comprehensive portfolio of production models in areas that have a substantial impact on the business, including fraud modelling, player skill modelling, demand forecasting, and pricing optimisation. His work is widely recognised for its technical rigour, business impact, and innovation.

Vidhya Lakshmi Karthikeyan

Vidhya Lakshmi Karthikeyan - Head of Data & Insights - YouView TV

Vidhya Lakshmi is an inspiring female leader in Data - Vidhya leads the Data and Insight function at YouView TV, delivering timely and rigorous evidence from viewer behaviour data for better decision-making and viewer experiences.

She has won several national awards for her achievements and STEM community outreach activities. Vidhya is passionate about figuring out data solutions to business problems, working towards driving organisational culture change in data adoption across all parts of its lifecycle, from creation to exploitation.

Barry Panayi

Barry Panayi - Chief Data & Insights Officer - John Lewis Partnership

Barry has worked in data for the whole of his career and is currently the Chief Data and Insight Officer at John Lewis Partnership where he leads the data management, governance, analytics and data science teams for the group.

Barry champions the power of data, not just for organisations but for society as a whole and has worked on numerous initiatives across both private and public sectors as well as promoting the importance of digital skills in our society. Barry is also a NED for Ofgem, the UK's energy regulator, helping bring data and digital opportunity to helping the UK achieve its ambitious energy and decarbonisation targets.

Adri PurkayasthaAdri Purkayastha - Group Head of AI Operational Risks & Digital Risk Analytics - BNP Paribas

Adri has over 11 years of experience in data science and AI across multiple functional areas, sectors, and industries combined with cumulative learning from several hundred AI products, projects, and solutions. He has worked across start-ups to multi-billion-dollar enterprises focussed on commercial value creation giving him a vast amount of AI implementation opportunity and experience.

Kerry SheehanKerry Sheehan - Head of Service Development and Innovation - UK Civil Service 

Kerry is a solutions-led leader helping the UK Civil Service move away from the customer service status quo. Kerry is at the forefront of AI being further developed to enable faster responses to over 100,000 geographically dispersed customers with individual needs, enabling the move from being reactive to proactive in customer response.

Kerry’s AI implementation approach, enabling organisations to keep doing better, is recognised by the UK Civil Service, Alan Turing Institute, where Kerry is a strategic advisor, and British Standards Institute, where Kerry is supporting develop global AI Standards.
