Sushma Shankar is the Co-Founder and COO of Deep Planet. She has an MBA from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Computer Engineering from Illinois Tech. Sushma has 15 years of background in engineering, research and development, product management and business planning. At Deep Planet, she is on a mission to harness AI for the benefit of the planet, building a deep tech platform using satellite imagery and machine learning to help growers build resilience to the impact of climate change. Previously, she's worked at Hitachi, and at Nortel demonstrating the world's first 4G systems and at BT managing Openreach's '10B business plan.
